Penny Layman, the South Central Wyoming Emergency Medical Services (SCWEMS) representative for Encampment presented a request for Resolutions 2022-09 and resolution 2022-10. Both resolutions are for grant money to purchase new ambulances. Layman advised the council that it is a two year wait for an ambulance so they are trying to get started now. The Encampment Beef Committee was started over 50 years ago by Young Jim York. Jerry Kraft said that York started the Encampment Beef Committee because he felt they needed something more for the Encampment 4H kids that weren't getting the big sales at fair and to make more scholarships available, to new graduates as well as students in their Junior and Senior years. It will take five years and more than $30 million before Rawlins’ water woes are solved, according to City Engineer Austin Gilbert. The Encampment Tiger football team killed the Ten Sleep Pioneers last week 53-0 and the Tigers kept the Farson-Eden Pronghorns scoreless 28 to 0. The Little Snake River Valley (LSRV) Rattler High School football team took on a team this week which is solid and won. The Dubois Rams are in the 6-man South conference and had been undefeated until they met the fangs of the Rattlers. The 26th Annual Chug and Tug Tractor pull started off with a parade tractors. They huffed and puffed up McCaffrey Avenue to the post office, turned around and came back down. Many tractor fans lined the highway to take pictures and kiddos clambered for candy being tossed to them. The oldest tractors were owned by a couple out of Craig.
