    The Saratoga Town Council may be taking a closer look at council representation on boards.     This Sunday, the Grand Encampment Cowboy Gathering Ouftit (GECB) is co-sponsoring “All About the Livestock,” a live entertainment event to aid South Dakota producers who lost animals in the “Atlas” blizzard.   • Giving Tree deadline approaches

    Parents who want their children included on the Valley Service Organization’s (VSO) 2013 Giving Tree now have until Friday to submit their requests. Sudie Trowbridge, VSO co-chair for the Giving Tree, said the forms may be left at the Saratoga Elementary School office. The forms provide information for the gift tags, which will include the child’s age, sex, favorite colors, interests and gift wishes.     The Saratoga Planning Commission voted to enforce a cease and desist order against resident Royce Kelley almost five months after the notice was written. Per the motion, Kelley will be charged $100 per day after the next infraction of the cease and desist order, which addressed Kelley's use of a sawmill on his property.   • Riverside talks old town hall repair

    At Deseret Health and Rehab, residents enjoyed many activities throughout the week. The Activity Department offers a wide variety of activities each week to meet the residents’ interests, as well as the physical, mental and psychological well-being of each resident.     Win or lose, Mary Martin supports the Encampment Tigers, and has since 1997. Mary graduated from Encampment School in 1986 and for years, the only game she attended was the homecoming games.     School board members are aiming for July 1 to have a new superintendent. Carbon County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees, after consulting with the Wyoming School Board Association, will use the organization in a nationwide search for a new superintendent. According to a tentative timeline, CCSD 2 may have a replacement for current superintendent Bob Gates by July 1, 2014.
