The Saratoga Town Council passes two resolutions and an ordinance

Two resolutions were passed at the Saratoga Town Council meeting on August 2; Resolution 2022-07 authorizing submission of an application for the State Loan and Investment Board for a grant through Water and Sewer ARPA grant program funding for on behalf of the Governing Body for the Town of Saratoga for the purpose of replacing old failing and failed, water distribution mains of Spring Avenue to ensure safe driving water for the Town of Saratoga Residents and Resolution 2022-09 authorizing submission of an ARPA Health and Human Services grant application to the Wyoming State Land and Investment Board on behalf of South Central Wyoming Emergency Medical Services (SCWEMS) for the purpose of building and construction to erect and emergency medical services station facility in Hanna, Wyoming. Ordinance 864 was also passed, approved and adopted. The ordinance increases the monthly service charges a minimum of three percent each calendar year in order to allow the town to account for inflation. The Recreation Department hired Cindy Carnes as lifeguard pending background check.

The Water and Sewer Joint Powers Board received a letter of interest for the town appointed seat from Dave Christman. The Council-members unanimously voted Christman to the seat.

The next regular meeting of the Saratoga Town Council will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Saratoga Town Hall.
