Blessing the seniors

Platte Valley Ministerial Association to hold Baccalaureate Service May 19 at the PVCC to give blessings to graduating seniors

The Platte Valley Ministerial Association is inviting graduating seniors from Encampment, Hanna and Saratoga to attend the Platte Valley Baccalaureate Service at 7 p.m. on May 19 at the Platte Valley Community Center. Saratoga High School alumnus Ken Collamer will be the guest speaker at this event.

Should any seniors choose to attend the baccalaureate service, they should come prepared to publicly introduce themselves and state their possible future plans. Friends and family are welcome to the service. Kailey Hytrek, Kieran Neville, Takoda Pedersen and Leila Randall will compose the choral group from Saratoga Middle High School as they sing “Ave Verum Corpus,” arranged by Amadeus Mozart.

The baccalaureate service provides the churches of the Valley an opportunity to offer a blessing to all graduating seniors as they move on into the world. A reception will follow the service in the foyer. For more information, contact Pastor Gene Smith, president of the Platte Valley Ministerial Association at 307-326-5520.
