Fire department working to improve services

 


Brad Cary told the Saratoga Town Council May 5 that the Hughes fire in April drove home the potential of conflagration areas in the town of Saratoga by the Saratoga Volunteer Department.

The fire department wants to spend a lot more time preplanning and viewing structures that may need some mitigation.

Cary reported that 15 firefighters have had 45 days of training by attending three firefighter schools, and with that type of training, has it has lowered the Insurance Services Offices (ISO) rating has dropped from six to four because of the training.
