Easter services

Holiday observances begin as early as Thursday

The Encampment Presbyterian Church will observe Maundy Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

The service will be in memory of The Last Supper, Rev. Mikki Hall said. The candlelight supper will include worship music, praise music by the Encampment Youth Christian Band, reading scriptures of The Last Supper and communion, Hall said.

The service will take place at the tables and the deacons will serve the meal. “All are welcome,” Hall said.

Also observing Maundy Thursday is the First Presbyterian Church in Saratoga. (Call Helen Monday about service time), the Platte Valley Lutheran Church in Saratoga at 7 p.m., and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church at 6 p.m.

St. Ann’s Catholic Church is observing Holy Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

On Good Friday, Grace Lutheran Church will hold a service at 7 p.m.

St. Ann’s is holding its Good Friday Mass at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday, St. Ann’s has Easter Vigil Mass at 8 p.m.

Saratoga and Encampment Churches will be hosting Ecumenical Services for the sunrise service Easter Sunday. Saratoga’s service with be at 6:45 a.m. at “The Journey” area next to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church at the gazebo across from the Saratoga Post Office.

Christian Community Church is hosting the Ecumenical Service at 6:30 a.m. at Grand View Park in Encampment, next to the Grand Encampment Museum.

Sunday Services will begin at the Platte Valley Lutheran Church at 9 a.m., St.. Ann’s at 9 a.m., and St. Barnabas at 9 a.m.

Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. at the Platte Valley Christian Church with Easter Services at 11 a.m. The children are presenting a pageant during the service.

The Saratoga Alliance Church will host their Easter Celebration “The Offer — John 10:10”, at 9:30 a.m. at the Platte Valley Community Center Theater.

The First Presbyterian Church in Saratoga will begin its Easter Service at 9:30 a.m. with Encampment Presbyterian Church beginning at 10 a.m.

Hall said the Encampment Presbyterian Church will be decorating its church with Easter Lilies, which can be purchased in the memory of a loved one. Call Becky Kreusel at 307-327-5146 for more information.

The Easter Lilies can be picked up after the service, or can be donated to the Deseret Care and Rehab Center in Saratoga.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is holding an Easter Service at 10 a.m.

The First Baptist Church in Saratoga is holding its Easter Service at 11 a.m.

St. James Episcopal Church in Encampment has Easter Services at 9 a.m.

Ride on Faith Ministries will begin at 10 a.m. breakfast followed by Easter Services.

The Grace Lutheran Church in Hanna will have their Easter Service at 2 p.m. Sunday.
