Snowy Range poker run raises $600

It was a beautiful day Saturday for the Saratoga Resort and Spa’s annual Snowy Range Poker Run. Forty participants tried their luck while enjoying a sunny day in the Snowies.

The Poker Run raised $600 for the local Search and Rescue organizations with half donated to Saratoga half donated to Ryan Park.

There were four prizes awarded including a grand prize, and prizes for best hand, second best hand and the worst hand of the day.

Johnathan Borreyo, of Ryan Park, won the grand prize of a $500 VISA gift card and a snowmobile jacket. Abby McNeley, of Denver, Colo., won a survival backpack for best hand. The second-best hand got Jim Buckley, of Steamboat, Colo., a 2012 EVS race collar. Todd Welter, also of Denver, Colo., collected the worst hand of the day which garnered him a Saratoga Resort and Spa jersey and beanie cap.
