Togie buries Miners, scratched by cats

With a new offense in place, the Saratoga Panthers picked up one win during the Carbon County Classic Tournament this weekend.

The Panthers lost to Cokeville 48-61.

Saratoga held a one-point lead over Cokeville after the first quarter but Cokeville dominated the rest of the way after a second-quarter burst.

Senior Ben Gates led the Panthers with 16 points and five defensive rebounds.

“We have growing pains, but we got better, “ head coach Josh Sandlian said.

The team is getting used to understanding where to rotate and getting more comfortable with the offensive play, Sandlian added.
