Panthers on the prowl for State

Saratoga Track and Field continues its success in capturing spots in the State Championship.

The Saratoga Panther Track and Field team is making their mark to earn their way to state.

Last week the girls track and field team dominated with four girls making top finishes or state qualifications.

Saratoga Girls

Josie Little finished 4th place in triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 2 Inches earning her spot in the State Track and Field Championships. Little also earned another spot in the State Track and Field Championships with a 6th place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.5.

Milan Scott finished 6th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:57.87. Aspen Sewell finished 7th place in the triple jump with a distance of 28 feet, 11 Inches. Rhiwan Williams earned a spot in the State Track and Field Championships with a 2nd place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 3.5 Inches. Williams got a 4th place finish in the long jump with a distance of 14 feet, 2 inches. She also got 7th place in the 800 Meter run with a time of 2:44.99

Saratoga Boys

Douglas Anderson and Snowdon Williams are the only two boys who got top finishes in track and field. Anderson earned a spot in the State Track and Field Championships with a 4th place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11:68.

Snowdon also finished 7th place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.62 and 6th place in the 800 meter run. Williams also scored an 8th place finish in the long jump and a distance of 17 feet even.

The Panthers will be hosting their track meet at the Burt Willford Invitational on Friday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m.
