Peter D. Crow

Peter D. Crow, of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on April 5,2024.

Pete was born November 9, 1939, in Ryan Park, Wyoming to Ralph and Esther crow. When he was 2 years old, his mother was killed in a train crossing accident in Berthoud, Colorado and Pete was raised by his 2 grandmas in Ryan Park and Saratoga, Wyoming. He grew up working for his father’s timber company, R.R. Crow. After the University of Wyoming, Pete went on to a career in sales in Denver, Las Vegas, Nevada and Glenwood Springs. Pete was married to Pat, daughter Kathy, and later Rene, sons Jeff and Patrick. Pete and his wife Margie met in Saratoga, Wyoming flying small planes. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for 10 years before returning and settling permanently in Glenwood Springs in 1993. Pete and Margie opened downtown drug in 1998, and worked there until their retirement in 2021.

Pete loved spending time with friends and family. During his lifetime, he enjoyed flying, camping, fishing, the Platte River, golfing, skiing, playing poker, cribbage, and Canyon Creek Rummy, a serenade with his ukulele, and having a good time with friends at home, in any bar and at the Elks Lodge.

Pete was preceded in death by his brothers Dave and John, and son-in-law Brian Aikin. He is survived by his wife Margie, step-brother Robert Hartley (Abi) of Saratoga, Wyoming, his children Kathy Aikin of Reno, Nevada, Jeff Crow (Yvonne) of Rifle, Colorado, Patrick Crow (Jeanette Rodriquez) of Cedar Crest, New Mexico, and by his grandchildren Melissa Statler (Jake), Amanda Crow (Patrick Scheirer), Anna, Emily, and Mitch Aikin, and Marcus Crow, and 3 great grandchildren, Claire and Carter Statler and Ivy Crow, and many nieces and nephews.

Pete was strong in his faith in God, and checked in with “The Boss” every night to give thanks and say a prayer for those he loved. Pete was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge, (Rawlins, Wyoming) and later Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge 2286 (Past ER).

A service will be held at the Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge on May 4, 2024 at 2pm, followed by a reception. Ashes will be buried in Saratoga, Wyoming at a later date.
