Richard (Dick) Elburn Davis went to meet his Maker on September 14, 2023, at Crook County (Wyoming) Memorial Hospital after a long battle with heart disease.
Born in Nashville, Wisconsin, on March, 21 1932, Dick grew up in Forest County on the family farm, and graduated from Crandon, Wisconsin, High School in 1949.
He served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army airborne from 1952-54, participating in early experiments air dropping heavy equipment into battle.
