Patricia (Patti) Elaine Haigh, age 70, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born October 27th, 1952 in Lyons, Illinois to loving parents Elaine and John Hardina. She married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Haigh in December of 1974. This year would have been their 49 th wedding anniversary.
Patti is survived by her brother and his wife, John and Kim Hardina; her husband, Bob; sons and their wives, George and Jessica Haigh (Denver) and Tom and Danielle Haigh (Jackson, WY); grandchildren, Hannah Haigh (age 7) and Lauren Haigh (20mo.).
Patti split time between Saratoga, WY and Suburban Chicago and treasured her regular visits to Denver and Jackson to see her granddaughters. She had such a natural way of making friends everywhere she went and enjoyed visiting Cafayate, Argentina and Scottsdale, AZ. Patti was nothing less than a force of nature, strong, lover of life, lover of family, generous and spirited. As the wife of a steel executive for 40 years, Patti accompanied Bob on many business trips and embraced the relationships made in their professional lives. In 2011 Bob and Patti settled down for retirement in Saratoga, WY. Patti devoted much of her spare time and talents to the Lyonsville Congregational Church in Indian Head Park, IL where she took great pride in beautifying her church and supporting her friends of faith. Patti’s hobbies included gardening and landscaping, home remodeling, Rolling Stones concerts, the Chicago Bulls and rowing the river. She was best known for her keen sense of party planning and loved hosting and sharing with others. Patti Haigh was always at her best when she knew everyone around her was having a good time.
