On Thursday afternoon the Saratoga High School Lady Panthers volleyball team traveled to Little Snake River Valley for a match. The results favored the home team as LSRV won all three games, 25-17, 25-13 and 25-9.
Some noteworthy stats from the Lady Panthers starts with Josie Little going 5 for 5 on serves, adding 3 kills with 9 digs. Team captain Makenna King recorded 3 kills. Piper Gray went 6 for 6 on her serves with 2 kills. Sophia Diaz had 3 blocks and Cassidy Herring 2 kills. Allie Condict contributed 8 assists and 6 digs; Gillian Creed added 5 assists and Madi Johnson recorded 9 digs.
The Lady Panthers were back in action Saturday morning at 9:00, lining up with Farson-Eden. After traveling to Wind River the previous weekend, and LSRV Thursday afternoon, it was good to be on the home court. Saratoga swept the match 3-0, winning 25-21, 25-23 and 28-26.
Senior Makenna King led the team with 11 kills and 11 digs. Allie Condict, a steady and reliable player, showed up with 19 assists, 2 kills and went 10 for 10 on her serves. Madi Johnson had a gritty 20 digs, Sophia Diaz had 1 kill and 1 block. Josie Little also hit the court with 20 digs and added 6 kills. Cassidy Herring contributed across the scorers sheet with her 9 kills, 3 blocks and 4 digs. Gillian Creed was another two way player with 19 assists on offense, while shutting down the opponents with 2 blocks and 5 kills.
Saratoga travels to Rock River Friday afternoon for a match at 4:00p. They will be back in action the next day facing off with neighborhood rival Encampment, at home, at high noon!
