TMT Detailing, Keeping Your Car, Truck or Even Boat Looking Sharp

The Cowboy State lifestyle can be pretty tough on our vehicles. Winter weather, dirt roads, the nature of the work that pushes our economy and the Wyoming idea of recreation, pile dirt, grit and mud both inside and out. A clean car makes a happy driver, but it means more than just pride of ownership; it has a direct impact on the value of any vehicle. Enter Tate Terrill of TMT Detailing.

Tate started TMT in Baggs last November. Initially it was just something of a side hustle to fill the gap when things were slow at her regular gig. But by April of 2023 things began to lift off. The Winter and Spring had been rough on everyone and everything, including vehicles. Tate was contacted by the usual customer mix, of personal ownership cars and trucks, but also by a couple of professional trucking businesses. Business grew from one satisfied customer to another and she found herself then working on semis and even fire trucks.

In July Tate’s father suffered an injury and she headed home for a couple of weeks to help out. She decided to run her first ad and that led to her becoming very busy in Saratoga. That was when she began to take a few more steps to formalize her business like designing a logo and setting up a business page on Facebook. She now has regular customers in Baggs and Saratoga, Rawlins and was even contacted by a business over in Craig CO. While TMT does receive more inquiries each week, she does want to keep the company focus on the local area. They do have specialized tools and techniques to bring out the best in your ride.

Tate Terrill is known for more than detailing vehicles, and many of our readers will know her too from the rodeo circuit. She is a team roper - a heeler, generally competing with her Dad, who is always her first choice as a partner. They enjoy trips to Las Vegas for the World Series of Team Roping held in December. Tate’s new business venture has allowed them to enter more contests this year and that has made for “a grand time”. More roping competitions combined with her business success has even generated “a more positive outlook on life”.

Ms. Terrill told us “I’m a firm believer that you don’t go to work for 8+ hours a day building someone else’s dream, just to go home and not work on your own. If you do, you’re not too tired, you’re just not inspired.” A philosophy like that might attract the attention of Mr. Wonderful on Shark Tank! TMT offers quotes based on the type and size of a car or truck. They will take on any challenge, from the aforementioned categories of semis, fire trucks and other specialty vehicles, to ‘rodeo rigs’ to ready them for Fall storage. She has even detailed a boat. Find the company on Facebook at TMT Detailing. Her logo has a phone number and sending a text is often the best way to contact her.
