Saratoga man still on the run

No new updates on whereabouts of Wyatt Flutty according to RPD

A Saratoga man who wrecked a stolen vehicle and is believed to have stolen another is still on the run as of Tuesday afternoon.

On July 28, the Rawlins Police Department announced in a press release they had issued a warrant for the arrest of Wyatt Fluty, 29, after he fled from the police. According to the press release, the Rawlins Police Department responded to a call about a suspicious person in an SUV at a business on Airport Road. When law enforcement arrived on the scene, an officer recognized the driver as Fluty.

Fluty fled in the SUV, driving through a fence before crashing into a creek bed. He then fled on foot. The SUV, it was discovered later, had been reported stolen to police in Denver, Colorado.

After Fluty fled on foot, another vehicle was reported stolen, this time from the parking lot of the Rawlins Municipal Airport. The vehicle was believed to be stolen by Fluty and was described as a 1991 Chevrolet ½ ton regular cap pickup truck with step sides and a diamond plated box in the bed. At the time it was stolen, it had Wyoming license plates and had two rifles, one shotgun and one handgun.

As of August 1, according to the Rawlins Police Department, there had been no updates on the whereabouts of Fluty. Following the incident on July 28, a warrant has been issued for Fluty’s arrest on felony charges. It is believed he could be in the Platte Valley or in Colorado, according to the press release issued on Friday.

The Rawlins Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating Fluty, but considers him armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing either Fluty or the stolen truck are being advised not to approach either, but to call 911.
