Head Coach Jackie Jones said she was sad they weren't going any further in the tournament, but she wasn't unhappy about how they played. "The girls played some their very best basketball at the regional tournament. Many things came together, and despite having losses, the games were good ones."

Jones said the season had its ups and downs, but she was proud of how hard the girls worked at trying to win. "The team endured a lot this season, and I can say without question that they never gave up, said Jones. "This is a group of amazing ladies that truly embodies the meaning of team."

Jones said that she admires how there was never any finger pointing or attitudes because of losses. She said that the girls grew in so many ways, it was an absolute privilege and honor to be their coach this season. The HEM Lady Miners pursued their dreams of state facing two teams at the regionals last week.
