Multiple departments help search for injured subject

First responders at the scene of a snowmobile accident.

A snowmobile accident in the Sierra Madre Mountains, west of Encampment, occurred in the afternoon of January 19, only one man hurt was hurt.

Sheriff Alex Bakken said, "At about 1 p.m. the Carbon County Sheriff's Office got a call for a snowmobile accident on Battle. Carbon County Sheriff's deputies, Saratoga and Encampment Search and Rescue and Saratoga Ambulance responded to the gates end on Highway 70. They sent in the Haglund, several search and rescue units on snowmobiles. They were able to make contact with the subject, a 45-year-old male suffering from non-life threatening injuries...
