Saratoga Lady Panthers couldn't sink it

Lady Panthers lose in home game on Friday

The Lady Panthers basketball players hit it hard and fast on Friday, winning the first two quarters with at least a seven point lead. However, in the last two quarters the Encampment Lady Tigers struck hard and clean leaving the final score at 51-43, Tigers.

Anna Peterson led the scoring with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Whitney Bennett scored 10 points with 6 rebounds and 7 assists.

Olivia Everett scored 8 points and Allie Condict brought 2 points to the score board with 6 rebounds and 7 assists.

"This weekend's game against Encampment was obviously disappointing for us. We executed well in the first half and felt good going into halftime with an 11 point lead. Unfortunately, in the second half we seemed to lose our focus and weren't able to finish the game out in the fashion that we started it," said Saratoga Coach Heather Bartlett.

Encampment played very well during the second half and Bartlett said, "we did not step up to their elevated level of play. We will be refocusing this week and looking to improve some of our weaknesses.

The Lady Panthers next game is at LSRV January 13.
