Arrest made after assault in Saratoga

Felony charges for assault and battery likely

Beckett Robinson, 18, of Rawlins was arrested on charges of reckless endangering with a firearm, breach of peace, and aggravated assault and battery after allegedly assaulting Chris Henneck, 18, of Saratoga. The incident took place December 10 at approximately 7:30 pm. near the Platte Valley Community Center.

Robinson used a gun to beat Henneck following an argument. Statements from eyewitnesses to the attack said that shots were fired. Police Chief Lehr said he examined the gun and in his opinion the gun was not fired. Henneck received stitches above his eye and on his neck after Robinson attacked Henneck. Henneck was transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbon County for treatment and released.

After the assault, Robinson left the scene and was driving north on Highway 130 where he was stopped and apprehended. Robinson made his first court appearance in Carbon Court on December 13. He posted a $10,000 commercial surety bond and was released.
