Two out of three ain't bad

Saratoga Panther's Lady Basketball players shoot to win at the Wrangle Invite

The Lady Panthers traveled to Shoshoni for the Wrangler Invite where they were challenged by three teams, Shoshoni's Wranglers, Dubois' Rams and the Riverside Rebels. Coach Heather Bartlett said "Shoshoni was a great game for us, we were really able to get into our fast break and we were shooting well Rhiwan Williams led the way scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds, Olivia Everett had 11 points, Whitney Bennett had a double–double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, she also had 7 assists. Allie Condict contributed 8 points and 3 assists, Madison Teichman and Cassidy Herring both had 5 points and Anna Peterson had 4 points".

The Panther's faced Dubois the next morning and it was a solid game. Bartlett said, "Whitney Bennett had a very impressive triple-double in this game with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Rhiwan Williams lead  the way scoring with 15 points. Madison Teichman had an impressive 13 points and 5 steals. Olivia Everett had 10 points and Cassidy Herring contributed 6 points and 6 rebounds with  Allie Condict scoring 4 points.

In the Riverside game we had a tough time scoring. Our shooting percentage was not very good this game, tired legs were a contributor to this for sure. Whitney Bennett led the way scoring with 20 points this game, and 12 rebounds for another double-double. Next for scoring was Madison Teichman, Oliva Everett and Rhiwan Williams with 5 points each. Rhiwan Williams also pulled down 8 rebounds".

Bartlett said that although she was disappointed in the loss the girls did very well and gained valuable experience. Bartlett said, "we were playing our 3rd of three games when we played Riverside and they were playing their first game, so they were a lot fresher than we were in that game. Overall I was very pleased with the weekend, the girls looked great in the Shoshoni and Dubois games, and we were able to gain valuable experience and play teams from the North that we will see at regionals".
