Roaslie Kraft Cousins 1/26/1948 – 10/6/2022

Rosalie Quealy Kraft Cousins, Encampment native, passed away on October 6 th at her home at the age of 74 years surrounded by her family. After a happy childhood on the Kraft Ranch,

Rosalie graduated from Encampment High School in 1966 and was married to Michael Quealy in 1968. After his passing, she finished her education at University of Wyoming graduating with a degree in Home Economics and Special Education. She married Wade Cousins in 1972 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and moved to Hanna, WY where her two children Kristi and Jody were born. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

She continued to teach in both Cheyenne, WY and Wheatland, WY until 1995 when they returned to live on the family ranch in Encampment. Rosalie and Wade later enjoyed many pleasant winters RV'ing in South Texas. Rosalie loved spending her time with family and friends as well as sewing and quilting. She served as a 4-H leader and later established several quilting groups in her community. She was driven by her faith in God and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Wade Cousins, her daughter Kristi Cotant and spouse Dr. Casey Cotant, and grandchildren Landon, Camden, and Logan Cotant, her daughter Dr. Jody Cousins and spouse CDR Sean Michaels (USN, ret.), her brothers Jerry Kraft and spouse Linda and Dan Kraft and his spouse Pam. Other family members include niece Cassie Orduno and her spouse Tommy, and children Sofia Pearl and Thomas Edward, niece Alysia Kraft, and nephew Jason Kraft and his spouse Dani and daughter Drew Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her father Jerome "Slim" Kraft and her mother Charlotte Murray Kraft.

Services are planned at the Encampment Presbyterian Church on October 22 at 10:00 am.

Dinner will follow. In lieu of flowers Rosalie requested donations to the Encampment

Presbyterian Church or Sagebud Quilters Group at the Encampment Senior center.
