The Rattlers are a team to be reckoned with this year, but the Panthers hit them hard. It took three matches for the Rattlers to take the game. Saratoga won the first match 25-17, but the Rattlers took the next two with 25-23 and 15-13.
Coach Shayley Love said, “The girls did pretty well over the weekend. We had a lot of sickness, injury and school trips last week so we didn’t get to have a full week of practice with each other. Friday was our first day to really play again and I felt overall we did pretty well. We had a pretty competitive pool that we were in to start off pool play on Friday. We lost to LSRV and split with both Kaycee and Meeteetse. We definitely competed, but still ended up in the silver bracket. Our first two games in bracket play the girls put things together and played solid matches to beat Midwest and Farson fairly easily. Our final match against Meeteetse we struggled finding rhythm as a team and lost that match in 3 sets. I feel with a solid week of practice we will be able to compete at our best going into a week with 2 conference matches”.
