Encampment Lady Tigers go for gold at Kaycee Volleyball Jamboree

The Lady Tigers reached for the sky and nearly caught a star

Tuesday, Sept 26 proved to be a blow to the Miners when the Tigers laid them out with 3 wins in four games. The Lady Tigers had to fight hard for the first game winning with a two point lead, but the second match came easier at 25-17. The Lady Miners pulled away with a win in the third match only to be beaten by the Tigers in the final match to win at 25-22.

Coach Robin Brown said that "this was a game of mental growth for the team. There were moments of frustration that they need to overcome in order to get the win".

The Lady Tigers faced several great teams and came away with some wins, and a new found confidence.

The Tigers faced off with their southern neighbors from Baggs at the Kaycee Jamboree, but LSRV's Lady Rattlers took the game in two matches at 21-8 and 21-19 on Friday.

According to Coach Robin Brown, "This weekend was a chance for us to grow as a team both mentally and physically. We were able to work together to win the games we needed to get into the gold bracket. Once in the gold bracket we faced really fierce competition and we were able to play right with them as we were learning to emotionally work together and have team work. We feel really good that we will be able to take this growth and finish out the remainder of our conference schedule with confidence"
