Carbon County Library Foundation holds 6th annual pumpkin run at Rochelle Ranch Golf Course

It was a cool, crisp autumn morning on September 24. Perfect weather for the 6th Annual Pumpkin Run hosted by the Carbon County Library Foundation.

While there was no frost on the pumpkins, a make shift pumpkin patch had been assembled at the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course.

The golf course was also used for the 2K/5K Run and near the pumpkin patch the "Tough Pumpkin" obstacle course was set up.

In the 2K run, Jace Hoffman came in 1st Place followed by Josh Moore in 2nd Place and Caleb Moore in 3rd Place. In the 5K run, Noah Blasi took 1st Place and was followed by Josh Harman in 2nd place and Judah Kirby in 3rd place.

With the obstacle course, participants had to take their pumpkin through several stations ranging from pulling their pumpkin on a burlap bag to balancing the gourds to pushing the squash with their head. Those who completed the obstacle course were awarded with a pin declaring them a "Tough Pumpkin."

The Carbon County Library Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer board established to support the eight libraries which service the 10 communities in Carbon County. The Pumpkin Run began as a fundraiser in 2016.
