Smoke and flames were visible from South Spring Creek on Saturday afternoon when a fire started on the edge of the National forest. Pat Waliser, Fire Chief for Saratoga Fire Department said that the fire BLM helicopter was sent to help fight the blaze, as well as fire departments from Ryan Park, Encampment, and Carbon County Fire.
