Lady Panthers take State Title

Saratoga Girls Track and Field are State Champions for first time in school history

The Saratoga Girls Track and Field team were given an escort through downtown Saratoga on Saturday night as they returned from Casper. This was the first time Saratoga's girls had earend a State Championship in school history.

Saratoga Panther High School track and field head coach Rex Honholt admits he is not surprised the girls team took 1st at State.

"I'd be lying to see I didn't see the potential," Honholt said. "I saw the versatility and work ethics of so many of these kids and I knew where their heart was. So many were willing to dig deep and I can't deny I saw it coming."

The Lady Panthers garnered 128 points. Southeast who came in 2nd accumulated 104 points.
