Tigers return with champions

Encampment track and field places several athletes ahead of state

The Encampment Tiger track team took their skills to regionals over the weekend. Returning with multiple regional champions and even a new regional record set by Quade Jordan in shot put. Multiple athletes qualified to participate in the state track meet starting Thursday May 19 in Casper and continuing through Saturday May 21.

Head Coach Kegan Wilford said, “I thought we had a pretty successful regional meet. We had 12 athletes qualify for the state meet and are looking forward to that.”

Girls Regional Results

Kristie Jordan is a Tiger regional champion and 1st place in shot put with a distance of 35 feet 4 inches. In discus Jordan took 3rd place with a distance of 94 feet 8 inches. Jordan took 4th place in 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.86 seconds. In the 300 meter hurdles Jordan took 4th place with a time of 52.16 seconds.

Cora Schroeder took 3rd place in shot put with a distance of 29 feet 9 inches. In discus Schroeder had a distance of 60 feet 5 inches. In the high jump Schroeder took 5 th place with a height of 4 feet 4 inches.

Kyenna Jackson took 5th place in shot put with a distance of 29 feet 1.75 inches. In discus Jackson had a distance of 62 feet.

Allison Bromley in the 1600 meter run had a time of 6 minutes 3 seconds and took 7th place. Bromley in the 3200 meter run took 5th place and had a time of 13minutes 24 seconds. In the 100 meter dash Bromley had a time of 14.41 seconds taking 4th place.

Kayla Smith in the 100 meter dash had a time eof 15.63 seconds. In the 200 meter dash Smith had a time of 33.73 seconds.

Eckerley Pickett took 6th place in the 100 meter dash with a time eof 14.77 seconds. In the 200 meter dash Pickett took 4th place with a time of 30.28 seconds. Pickett in the 100 meter hurdles had a time of 18.85 seconds taking 5th place.

In the 4 x 100 meter relay ran by Kayla Smith, Eckerley Pickett, Cora Schroeder, Allison Bromley the Lady Tigers took 3rd place with a time of 59.16 seconds.

Boys Regional Results

Michael Anderson in the 100 meter dash had a time of 12.68 seconds. In the high jump Anderson took 5th place with a height of 5 feet 4 inches. In the long jump Anderson had a distance of 15 feet 5.75 inches.

Quade Jordan is a two time regional champion this year and also set a new regional record in shot put. Jordan in shot put took 1st place as a regional champion with a distance of 49 feet 1 inch setting a new regional record. In Discus Jordan also took 1st place for a Tiger regional champion with a distance of 141 feet 1 inch. In the 100 meter dash Jordan took 7th place with a time of 12.76 seconds.

Koye Gilbert took 4th place in shot put with a distance of 41 feet 5.5 inches. In discus Gilbert took 5th place with a distance of 118 feet 4 inches.

Kaben Pickett took 3rd place in shot put with a distance of 42 feet 4.25 inches. In discus Pickett took 3rd place with a distance of 130 feet 3 inches.

Lane LaBorde took 6th place in shot put with a distance of 37 feet. in discus LaBorde had a distance of 90 feet 5 inches.

Gunner Henrie in the 200 meter dash ran a time of 28.8 seconds.

Lucas Stubbs in the long jump had a distance of 15 feet. In the 200 meter dash Stubbs had a time of 28.07 seconds.

Bryce Reid took 4th place in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 18.73 seconds.

Baylin Sifford in the long jump had a distance of 13 feet 4.5 inches.

Tyrel Brown in the 200 meter dash had a time of 29.63 seconds. Brown in the triple jump had a distance of 29 feet 7.25 inches.

Ben Wagy in the 100 meter dash had a time of 15.23 seconds in the 200 meter dash Wagy had a time of 32.46 seconds.

Brian Smith in the 3200 meter run had a time of 12 minutes 20 seconds. In the triple jump Smith had a distance of 30 feet 3.25 inches.

Owen Tanner in the 100 meter dash had a time of 15.23 seconds. Tanner in the 400 meter dash had a time of 1 minute 6 seconds.

In the 4x100 meter relay ran by Lane LaBorde, Quade Jordan, Kaben Pickett, Michael Anderson. The Tigers had a time of 49.3 seconds taking 5th place.

In the 1600 sprint medley relay ran by Gunner Henrie, Lucas Stubbs, Baylin Sifford, Brian Smith. The Tigers had a time of 4 minutes 18 seconds and took 5th place.

The next and final track meet for the Encampment Tigers will be a three day event held in Casper. The State meet will begin Thursday may 19th and finish up Saturday May 21st. The Encampment Tigers have 12 qualifying athletes participating for an exciting final meet.
