LSRV track and field heads south for Saturday meet and does well
The Little Snake River track team had two meets planned over the weeked. The Friday meet was canceled due to snow. However the Rattlers still headed to Steamboat Springs for the Steamboat Springs Track and Field Invitational.
Head coach Norman Yoast said, “We had pre-qualifying times with our 4x100 team of Myers, Cheatham, Valles and Peroulis. Kannadis Peroulis also improved his pre qualifying score in the long jump. Jaziel Giron Prequalified in the long jump. Hadley Myers improved his pre qualifying marks in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, and Regina Herrera prequalified in the discus with a 100’ throw.”
Girls Results
Cashley Criswell placed 9th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.24 seconds. In the 200 meter dash Criswell also placed 9th with a time of 29.45 seconds.
Emma Davis took 6th place in shot put with a distance 22 feet 5 inches.
Regina Herrera took 1st place in discus with a distance of 100 feet and half an inch. Herrera took 2nd place in shot put with a distance of 28 feet 9.5 inches.
Iesha Martinez ran a time of 16.34 seconds in the 100 meter dash. Martinez ran a time of33.36 seconds in the 200 meter dash.
Skylynn Ready ran a time of 30.23 seconds in the 200 meter dash. Ready took 5th place in the 400 meter dash running with a time of 1 minute 6.63 seconds.
Banessa Saenz ran a time of 14.82 in the 100 meter dash. Saenz took 3rd place in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 58.36 seconds. Taking 4th place in the high jump, Saenz reached a height of 4 feet 5 inches.
Boys Results
The boys relay team ran a time of 46.28 seconds in the 4x100 relay taking 2nd place. Prequalifying for state.
Cale Cheatham ran a time of 12.3 seconds in the 100 meter dash. Cheatham took 4th place in the long jump with a distance of 19 feet 4 inches.
Bridger Cozzenz ran a time of 13.55 seconds in the 100 meter dash. Cozzenz took 2nd place in discus with a distance of 103 feet 2 inches.
Mason Davis ran a time of 1 minute, 1.23 seconds in the 400 meter dash. Davis ran a time of 2 minutes 33.38 seconds in the 800 meter run.
Clay Erickson ran a time of 13.38 seconds in the 100 meter dash. Erickson ran a time of 27.73 in the 200 meter dash.
Reilly Erickson ran a time of 1 minute 4.08 seconds on the 400 meter run. In the 800 meter Erickson rana time of 2 minutes, 51.59 seconds.
Jaziel Giron took 3rd place in the long jump with a distance of 20 feet 6.5 inches. Giron took 2nd in the triple jump with a distance of 39 feet 4 inches.
Trevoe Howell took 9th place in discus with a distance of 93 feet 5 inches. Howellalso took 9th place in shot put with a distance of 32 feet 3.5 inches.
Hunter Jones ran a time of 14.33 seconds in the 100 meter dash.
Mason Jones ran a time of 2 minutes 51.27 seconds in the 800 meter run. In the triple jump Jones had a distance of 34 feet taking 9th place.
Ervey Marques took 8th place in shot put with a distance of 32 feet 7.5 inches.
Jerick Martinez took 2nd place in shot put with a distance of 36 feet and half an inch. Martinez took 3rd place discus with a distance of 102 feet.
Zane Matheson took 7th place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6 minutes 3.83 seconds.
Chase McKee took 6th place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2 minutes 22.66 seconds.
Hadley Myers took 3rd place in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 44.58 seconds. Myers took 5th in the 1110 hurdles with a time of 17.03 seconds.
Kannadis Peroulis took 1st place in the triple jump with a distance of 39 feet 6 inches. Peroulis took 2nd place in the long jump with a distance of 21 feet and half an inch.
Kenner Rodriguez ran a time of 14.24 seconds in the 100 meter dash. Rodriguez ran a time of 29.36 in the 200 meter dash.
Chris Sanez had a distance of 75 feet 11 inches in discus. Saenz had a distance of 31 feet 4 inches in shot put.
Jordy Valles took 6th place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.15 seconds. Valles also took 6th place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.58 seconds.
The next scheduled meet for the LSRV Rattlers will be Friday May 6th at the Bobcat invitational held in Thermopolis.
