Soups up!

Popular soup luncheons to resume beginning this week

While spring may be just around the corner, the cooler weather has been making itself known in the Valley in recent weeks. There’s nothing better to fight the cold touch of Old Man Winter than soup.

For the next four weeks, the Saratoga Presbyterian Church will be hosting their popular Lenten Soup Luncheons beginning March 10. The luncheons return after two years of delays and cancellations due to the global pandemic.

Members of the sponsoring Deacons, along with volunteers, will be providing an abundance of soups for lunchers to choose from. Included with the soup will be a beverage, dessert, rolls, crackers, bread, butter and fellowship. All come for just a $7 donation, which goes towards good deeds performed by the Deacons.

According to the Deacons, everyone is invited to the luncheons to share soup and fellowship with friends, family and guests during the holy season. No reservations are required and people can come as they are.

The Lenten Soup Luncheons will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 10, 17, 24 and 31. Saratoga Presbyterian Church is located at the corner of 3rd Street and Bridge Avenue.
