Encampment battles against Rock River, Cokeville at home

The Encampment Lady Tigers hosted two volleyball games last week as the Rock River Lady Longhorns visited on Thursday and the Cokeville Lady Panthers came to Tiger Nation on Saturday. In both matches, the Lady Tigers were dealt losses on their home court but not without putting up a fight.

Lady Tigers vs. Lady Longhorns

Though Rock River was able to leave Encampment with a win, the Lady Tigers didn't make it easy. The Lady Longhorns took the 1st set of the match 25-17 against Encampment with a similar score in the 2nd set, 25-16. In the 3rd set, the Lady Tigers took a swipe at Rock River with a score of 25-23. The Lady Longhorns, however, answered back in the 4th set with a score of 25-21.

Encampment would lose their first of two home games 3-1.

Lady Tigers vs. Lady Panthers

The No. 1 ranked Cokeville came to Encampment on Saturday and were able to obtain a victory in three sets. The 1st set ended with a score of 25-9 as the the Lady Panthers caught the hosting Lady Tigers off their feet. Determined to strike back, however, Encampment would increase their scoring in the next two sets.

In the 2nd set, the Lady Tigers would increase their scoring by 3 points to fall 25-12 against Cokeville. The 3rd set saw Encampment increase their scoring by 3 points, again, with a final score of 25-15. While the Lady Tigers were able to gain some ground across the three sets, the match went 3-0 in favor of Cokeville.

Following their duo of losses last week, the Encampment Lady Tigers are 5-9-2 for the season and 1-5 in conference play. Only three regular season games remain for Encampment.

The Encampment Lady Tigers will host the Saratoga Lady Panthers at 5 p.m. on October 21 and will be hosted by the Little Snake River Valley (LSRV) Lady Rattlers at 4 p.m. on October 22.
