New owner, same service

Town & Country Realty under new ownership

Laurie Forster gave the long-time reins of her real estate company Town & Country Realty to her agent Amanda Shahadey back in July. Amanda bought the business and building but the same faces are in the office. Laurie including her husband Reg, along with Associates Shelby McGuire & JoAnn Capellen in addition to long time Administrative Assistant Mary Martin have all made the transition with the new owner.

“I am proud of each and every one of my Associates & Staff and am excited with OUR Town & Country,” said Forster

Amanda became the Broker/Owner of the company and continues her professionalism she has brought to the real estate industry since 2015. She was honored by her peers in 2019 as the Carbon County Realtor of the Year. She graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1999 and then attended St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2003.

Amanda and her husband Matt have two children Koen and Joleigh. Amanda has been active in the Carbon County Board of Realtors Board of Directors since 2017 and was President in 2019. She is also the current Central District Vice President for the Wyoming Association of Realtors since 2020.

Laurie is continuing real estate as she is licensed through 2022 but, with the sale of Town & Country, she hopes to be able to spend more time with her kids andgrandkids.

One change Amanda has made is adding new agent Lauren Trostle to the team. Having someone based in Elk Mountain is a great asset for Town & Country.

Town & Country is still committed in providing the same excellent service that they have established in the twenty plus years of business.  Stop by and congratulate the entire team.  The office is located at 403 S. First in Saratoga.
