Every year in Wyoming the first Saturday in June is designated as a free fishing day. Any one wishing to, can fish the lakes and rivers of Wyoming without a fishing license with a few exceptions. Yellowstone National Park and the Wind River Reservations are excluded from this event. Fishing regulations still apply, so if anyone is thinking about taking advantage of the free fishing day next year they should check Wyoming Fishing Regulations at or any place where fishing licenses are typically sold.
