WGFD to hold public meeting

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) will be holding a public meeting at the Platte Valley Community Center (PVCC) on March 12 to discuss the Platte Valley Mule Deer Initiative.

The Platte Valley Mule Deer Initiative was implemented by the WGFD in July 2011 to increase public involvement in the management direction of the Platte Valley mule deer herd. From August 2011 to February 2012, the WGFD conducted workshops in Saratoga, Rawlins, Laramie and Cheyenne to develop a plan to guide mule deer management in the Platte Valley.
