Tigers take two on the road

Encampment back on track as they deal losses to Farson-Eden, Cokeville

The Encampment Tigers regained their footing this weekend as they saw two wins on the road against the Cokeville Panthers (8-10, 1-5) on Friday and the Farson-Eden Pronghorns (12-7, 3-4) on Saturday.

Despite a loss to their Valley rivals, the Saratoga Panthers, the weekend before they were able to add two more conference wins as the regular season comes to an end.

Tigers vs. Panthers

When the Tigers hosted Cokeville in January, they sent the visiting Panthers leaving Tiger Nation with a loss by 38 points. With the tables reversed, as Cokeville hosted the Tigers, the Panthers kept the score far closer.

Trying to use the rematch as a second chance at a win, Cokeville kept the score with the Tigers within four points.

The final score was 69-65.

Tigers vs. Pronghorns

In January, Encampment sunk their claws into the Pronghorns as they defeated Farson-Eden with a 20-point lead. This past weekend, the Pronghorns were able to keep the score a little closer with Encampment. In the end, however, the Tigers were still able to take down Farson-Eden.

The final score was 47-39.

With these two final conference games, the Encampment Tigers are 17-1 for the season and 7-1 in conference play.

The Tigers have a long week of gameplay as they close out their regular season. On February 20, the Tigers will be hosted by the Hanna, Elk Mountain and Medicine Bow (HEM) Miners at 4:30 p.m. in Hanna. On February 21, Encampment will be hosted by the Rock River Longhorns at 4 p.m. in Rock River and on February 22 they will be hosted by the Nork Park Wildcats at 1 p.m. in Walden, Colorado.
