Johnston, Shivelys winners for 2019

Every year the Valley Service Organization holds a friendly competition to see who has the best display of Christmas lights. The competition is open to all residents within Saratoga town limits. The winners from 2018, Dan and Trish Jones for residential and Laura M for businesses, were not eligible to win but their decorations were still admired.
The VSO provides the prizes and the residents of the Saratoga Care Center are the judges. On December 20, 2019 the residents of the Care Center that were feeling chipper enough to brave the cold weather, were driven around town. They were delighted to see all the beautiful lights that decorated Saratoga.
This year's Christmas light competition winner for residential is Joe and Amy Johnston. The winner for businesses who decorated their stores was Shively Hardware. The winners were given $25 Chamber Bucks along with a box of chocolates.
