Despite no playoffs this year, nearly 20 gridiron players motivated to play hard

Saratoga High School head football coach Logan Wright said he was happy to see 18 players try out for the team.

The Panthers are still playing six-man even with the large roster.

Wright said, in the beginning of the summer, he had not expected so many to want to play, so he kept the team as six-man.

"I had eight to 10 over the summer in for weight lifting so these kids are buying in and I hope success follows," said Wright.

Wright said every player who was on the team last year came back.

"We will be nine-man in the year to follow," Wright said. "There was no indication we would have 18, so...
