Input wanted for new impact payment rules

 


The Industrial Siting Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is calling to the public for their input on new rules for impact funds. HB152, regarding industrial siting impact payments, went into effect on July 1, although it will not affect previous or current projects. According to Kimber Wichmann, Principal Economist at the DEQ, the new bill will require community members to quantify the estimated costs on towns due to transient workers and other financial strains placed on them during industrial development periods.
