Pam (Miller) Linde

Pam was born on a dark and stormy night in Rawlins, Wyo. to Nestor and Dorothy Miller, of Saratoga. The Millers forgot the baby at the hospital when Dorothy was released and she did not meet her older siblings until 11 months later when her younger sister Dottie was born.

Pam grew up in Saratoga and the Snowy Range mountains of Wyoming and completed high school at Platte Valley High School. After a brief visit to San Francisco, Pam returned home and went to work in Rawlins as a waitress in a house of ill repute where she met her future husband, the father of her children, Stephanie Chae Herther Rastetter (Mike), Amee Janean Herther Standish, and Cameron Cash Collins Herther.

After working various jobs through the years in Saratoga while raising her three delinquent offspring, Pam decided it was time to move to greener pastures in 1999 where Pam obtained employment at Wyoming Medical Center. In the fall of 2002, Pam waved at a biker riding down 2nd Street in Casper, who caught her eye. It was just a few weeks later that she was set up on a blind date with that same biker. After a wild whirlwind romance, Pam married the love of her life on Oct. 3, 2003, a frostback bit of oilfield trash from Canada, Leonard Linde. They soon went to Canada, for a company Christmas party and were refused reentry into the USA when they attempted to return to Casper.

After six months of hard work, the Lindes finally returned home.

Pam enjoyed spending time riding her motorcycle with her biker friends, tole painting, music, outdoor activities (rock hunting, fishing etc.) and especially her five grandchildren: Kaleigh and David Young of Omaha, Neb. and Clayne, Braylee and Rylee Standish, of Sheridan, Wyo.

During the last few years, Pam worked part time (usually 48 hours per week) for a land title abstracting company in Casper. Pam and Leonard were contemplating becoming bums and living off the government and banks (also known as retirement) when she was suddenly taken from her loving family and friends.

Pam is survived by her husband, Leonard Linde of Casper; her mother, Dorothy Miller of Apache Junction, Ariz.; her sister, Sherry Weinert (Herm) of Apache Junction, Ariz.; her brother, Mack Miller (Dianna) of Saratoga; her sister, Dottie Kandolin of Lead, S.D.; her three children and five grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, some outlaws and her favoritest (sic) child, Taz the cat.

Pam was preceded in death by her granddaughter, McKenna LeeAnn Young; her father, Nestor J Miller; and her brother, Nestor Jerry Miller.

Pam and her wonderful sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Cremation has already taken place and no services are planned at this time, but a celebration of Pam’s life will take place at the Linde residence in Casper, Wyo. on Aug. 11,2015.

Written by Leonard as dictated to him by Pam.
