Derby hat contest coming

There were six here to play Bingo on Tuesday. Two-dollar winners were Grace Johnston, Berneil McCord and Sue Howe. Sue Howe and Lila Worden shared a $2 round, as did Grace Johnston and Nadene Kerbs share a $2 round. Kathy Hennek won the $5 blackout round.

We have decided we are going to have a Kentucky Derby Hat contest. It will be held on Friday, May 1. So hopefully you will all participate with us and have some fun. There will be prizes,so get to thinking about a hat to wear. Men can participate as well.

I do have the paperwork for the property tax help. If you need them please stop by and pick them up. It does pay to send them in. You could receive some money in a couple of months

I hired Malee Phairoj as our cleaning person. We are looking forward to working with her.

We were all sad to see Eloise Thomas leave our little group. Eloise has been here for many years. We all enjoy her company. She will be moving to Idaho to be with her granddaughter and family. We will miss her and wish her nothing but the best.

I spoke with John Collamer’s family and they said he was doing some better. They did do a procedure on him last week and it seems to have helped a little. Hopefully it will help him get his strength back and he can get home. But for now he is in the Central Avenue Health and Rehab Center in Fort Collins. We are thinking about both of you and keeping you in our prayers. We all miss you both.

We want to send our get well wishes to Carol Clemetson. She fell and broke her hip last week. Richard Rakness said they were going to start for home tomorrow and hopefully be home Sunday. She has already had surgery and came thru it very well.

We want to wish Elvira Cerise a speedy recovery. She had some medical problems and is now over at the nursing home until she gets strong enough to go home.

We want to extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Frank Jerub who passed away over at the nursing home. He had been coming over with the group for about a year and we will all miss him.
