Saratoga Jumps With Poke Pride

The event, organized by Shayley Love, Saratoga Elementary School's physical education teacher, was dedicated to Cowboy Poke football player Xavier Lewis, who suffered a stroke in December.

The fun was in full swing for the kids who attended the annual Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart last Friday. Shayley Love has organized the event for her third year in a row and wanted to do a University of Wyoming (UW) Cowboys theme for this year's event, "To help those who help us.", Love said. Love is referring to the UW Cowboys football team who helped the Saratoga community this summer with sandbagging. "We wanted to give back by jumping and shooting in the honor of UW football player Xavier Lewis who suffered a stroke in December," Love said. Love hopes to beat last year's total of $8400...
