Seniors receive donations

Games throughout the week provided fun and laughter. On Sunday afternoon, six residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Monday afternoon, six residents played Yahtzee with Rudy Stodola winning. On Tuesday morning, five residents played Dominoes with Russell Cox winning. On Wednesday afternoon, 12 residents played Bingo, and on Friday afternoon, 13 residents played Bingo. Kenny Hoagland and Russell Cox won Four Corners. Keitth Annan, Russell Cox, and Nadine Caleb won Blackouts. Our Bingo helpers were Lila Worden, Joannie Johnson, and Dawna Erickson. On Saturday afternoon, residents played Blackjack.

Evenings, residents watched the commercial-free Turner Classic Movies. On Tuesday afternoon, six residents watched the DVD movie, “Dante’s Peak.” On Saturday morning, residents watched the DVD movie, “The Shadow Riders.”

For Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center, three residents had beef Tacos on Monday, and four residents had Beef Stroganoff over noodles on Friday.

On Sunday morning, four residents played Wii Bowling.

On Sunday afternoon, Sharon Hughes, mother of Pastor Arlen Hughes, led church. Doris Davis played religious music on the keyboard.

On Monday morning, Emily Kirk read “Swamplandia!” to four residents.

On Wednesday morning, Linda Healey and Kathy McMorrow gave hair care to seven residents and nail care to 13 residents.

On Thursday afternoon, residents did an arts and craft project.

On Saturday afternoon, residents enjoyed ice cream sandwiches.

We are in need of small Bingo prizes, including stuffed animals.

We wish to thank the Rebekahs for the kind donation of Bingo quarters and the Eastern Star for the Bingo prizes.
