Center closed for Good Friday

There were eight here for Bridge Monday. High winner was Gertrude Herold and Mary Sjoden. Second place went to Glee Johnson and Vivien Campbell.

We have started having the Jam sessions again for the summer. The next one will be on April 22. Please make plans to come up at 6 p.m. and enjoy the music. The players have so much fun playing, and the audience always has just as much fun listening to them.

Last week was National Volunteer Appreciation Week. We want to thank everyone who helps here at our center. We really do appreciate all of you.

I did get in the property tax relief forms this week. You have until June 2 to fill them out and get them sent in. If you did not receive your form in the mail please come up and get one. You can get a partial refund on your taxes if you qualify.

We will be closed on April 18 for Good Friday. If you want a meal for that day please tell the bus driver or call the center at 326-5564 and let us know by April 16 so we can send them out with your meal on Thursday. We do have frozen meals for the weekend if you need them. All you need to do is let us know you need extras for the weekend and we can send you two for those days.

We want to send out thoughts and prayers to Pat Faust. I spoke to Fran, her daughter and she said Pat was coming along pretty well. They are in hopes she will be able to come home April 23. That sounds very promising.

John Glode has gone into the nursing home after some medical trouble. We want to wish him well and hope he can get home soon.

We have a report that Ruth Doherty is having some surgery and we want to wish her a speedy recovery.

It has been reported that Jim Elliott likes his new home in Cheyenne. We all miss him and wish him well. We hope he gets back up here to see us.
