Wessel places first in drama

Kaylyn Wessel, center, and Becca Treat, left, are awarded third place for their duet at the Carbon County School District No. 1 Speech Meet. Wessel also earned a first place for her drama piece.

Carbon County School District No. 2 worked with Carbon County School District No. 1 to host the Rawlins Outlaw Classic Speech and Debate Invitational at Rawlins High School Friday and Saturday.

Approximately 185 speakers in 265 entries competed, varying from 1A 2A, 3A and 4A sized teams. Areas spanning Jackson, Green River, Rock Springs, Riverton, Casper, Douglas, Star Valley, Cheyenne and Greybull were represented.
