During a public hearing on Feb. 4, Michael Haak of Sage Civil Engineering discussed the master plan for Shively Airfield. Haak said that this was the last public meeting before implementation of the project.
Haak presented the outline for the airport layout plan which the terminal layout and approach surface. He said that the new approach would “increase the efficiency and effectiveness [of planes] coming into the airport.”
It was also announced that there will be projects in place to make the airport more aesthetically pleasing. This will include an access road near the airport.
