George Robert Aydelott, 90, formerly of Rawlins, died Jan. 1, 2014, at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. He was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Duluth, Minn., to Vergal and Mayme (Clausson) Aydelott.
When he was three years old, his family left Minnesota and settled in Encampment. George graduated from Encampment High School on 1942. In September of that year, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was later being detached to the Eighth Air Force Medical Corps.
