Killing on Pass Creek

Mrs. Hawkins, a colored woman in the employ of James Dickinson on Pass Creek, shot and instantly killed a colored man by the name of Jackson, also employed by Dickinson. She claims that Jackson came in the house drunk and wanted her to run off with him, she refused. They had a quarrel and he left the house in a rage, telling her he would kill her if she came out.
