Senior Center closed Labor Day

There were two-and-a-half tables for Duplicate Bridge this week. However no one left me a list of the winners. So you will get that next week.

Don’t forget we will be having the music jamboree up here every other Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

I do have the forms for the Elderly and Disabled Tax Program. The qualifications for this are: you must be at least 65 years old, or turned 18 in 2012 and totally disabled. You must have lived in the state of Wyoming for the year 2012, and had income of $17,500 or less for a single person, or $28,500 or less for a married couple. If you have these qualifications, please stop in and get a form or call ahead and I will be happy to help you fill them out. You need to have them postmarked no later than Aug. 31.

We usually play Right Left and Center on Wednesdays, but we had the 55-Alive driving class here last week so they could not play. Hopefully they will be able to play this week.

We had a great turnout for the 55-Alive class. George said this is one of the biggest classes he has had.

That same day we had a pharmacist here to give a talk on if your medicines are fighting against each other, and if you can get a better deal by taking the generic brand of medication. It was very informative and there were several seniors that stayed and had him go over their meds with them. They all said they were very pleased with his results. I think the pharmacist will be back again.

We have had such a low count this week with all the people gone on the mystery trip. But they were back on Friday. It is good to have them back.

We will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day, so if you need an extra meal for the long weekend please let us know so we can have it ready for you on Friday. Please call the center at 326-5564. You can always leave a message if we are gone when you call.
