Another blaze broke out at the Saratoga sawmill Friday afternoon, making it the second to occur in the past two weeks.
“It looked like some chips caught fire in a chute,” said Saratoga Fire Chief Randy Sikes who responded to the scene. “We have no idea how it started.”
The fire started in a chute used to transport chips from one area of the sawmill to the other, Sikes said.
Saratoga firefighters responded to the scene around 5 p.m. with three pump trucks and an equipment truck.
