Veterans assistance available in Carbon County

A Wyoming veterans service officer from the Wyoming Veterans Commission is conducting community outreach services this month, with two dates scheduled for Carbon County.

Vicki Richards is available to meet with veterans and their families to discuss state and federal veterans’ benefits, Department of Veterans Affairs claims, or VA healthcare. Richards can also help veterans, and their families apply for benefits, file claims or request healthcare.

Richards identified specific dates across six Wyoming counties for “walk-in” outreach. The Carbon County dates are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., May 15 and 29 at the Rawlins VA Clinic, 1809 E. Daley St. in Rawlins.

During periods of inclement weather, please check with the staff at the outreach location to ensure the veterans service officer will be available. Richards is available to meet with veterans and their families from Carbon, Albany, Platte, Goshen and Laramie counties, in addition to the scheduled outreach. Please contact Richards at 307-214-2112 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
