Xi Beta Delta sorority in Encampment is organizing this year’s health fair screening, which will begin April 16 in Hanna.
The annual blood draws for wellness screenings are sponsored by the Wyoming Health Fair/Wellness Health Fairs (WHF).
The blood draws in Hanna begin at 9 a.m., at Hanna Elementary School. In Saratoga, blood draws will take place from 6 to 10 a.m., April 17 and 18, at the Platte Valley Community Center Great Hall.
In Encampment, from 6 to 10 a.m., April 19 and 20, the blood draws will take place at the Grand Encampment Opera House.
WHF recommends fasting for 12 hours prior to the blood draw, unless the person is diabetic. Drink plenty of water before the draw and take medications as usual.
Free screenings at the blood draws include blood pressure, fat analysis, vision and hearing.
The basic blood chemistry profile costs $30 and other screenings range from $15 to $35, depending on the type of test.
No appointments are necessary.
